About Claire Jacob-Zysman and Dancers
Modern dance company Claire Jacob-Zysman and Dancers was formed in 2009 in the Capital District of New York State. The company has performed at the Jacob's Pillow as a part of inside/Out's Community Dance Day in Beckett, MA, John Ryan Theatre as a part of WHITE WAVE's CoolNY Dance Festival and at the DUMBO Dance Festival in Brooklyn, NY, at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, NY, at the Center for the Arts in Buffalo, NY, and at the Byrdcliffe Theatre in Woodstock, NY, and at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Albany, NY as a part of First Friday.
About Claire Jacob-Zysman
Claire Jacob-Zysman has been a dancer with the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company in Albany, NY since 2006. She graduated summa cum laude from the University at Buffalo with a BFA in Dance, where she was a dancer and choreographer for the Zodiaque Dance Company. Additionally she has trained with the José Limón Dance Company, Doug Varone and Dancers, and Ballet Hispanico. She has also studied at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and at the Bates Dance Festival. In addition to her work with the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company and Claire Jacob-Zysman and Dancers, Claire has performed with the Anne Burnidge Dance Company, and with Melanie Aceto Contemporary Dance; including a performance at Jacob’s Pillow as a part of their Inside/Out series in 2010.
